About The Expert Index

What we publish

The Expert Index is an independent, evidence-based index of coaches, consultants, speakers and advisory firms. We publish annual category indexes, expert profiles, guides for buyers of these services, and reports built on our own data.

The site is written for people who have to make a decision: a founder choosing a coach, an HR director selecting an executive coaching partner, an event organizer booking a keynote, a company hiring a consulting firm.

The editorial team

Our editorial personas are the named voices of the newsroom. Each one stands for a beat and a set of standards, and each article carries the name of the persona responsible for it.

Margaret Osei, Research Editor. Leads methodology, verification and the annual indexes. Writes the buying guides and evidence checks.

Tom Harker, Features Editor. Runs interviews, profiles and the quarterly Rising features. Interested in how experts actually work, not how they market themselves.

Anika Rao, Consulting & Agencies Analyst. Covers consulting, advisory and agencies: fees, engagement models, and how buyers choose. Builds the fee benchmarks.

How we use AI

Our newsroom works with AI tools for research, drafting and checking. Every published text is edited against our style guide and checked for facts, sources and fairness before it goes live. Rankings are produced by people applying the published methodology; no ranking is generated automatically.

Persona portraits are illustrations. The person legally responsible for the content is named in the imprint.
